Use Āwhina to find help

World Homeless Day, Aotea Square, Lifewise, Auckland, community, awhina, Āwhina
On 10 October at Aotea Square, Lifewise together with some of Auckland’s most hardworking agencies gathered to connect with the community. A new website called Āwhina, specially developed to help homeless people, was launched.

People with lived experience of homelessness have helped launch – a free online directory for information on services and facilities that people need in order to help themselves.

Āwhina. The te reo Māori word for helper – is truly by the people, for the people.

Lifewise works with people of all ages and all ethnicities. Our services are open to anyone in need. We assist with a wide variety of issues including family problems, poverty, homelessness, isolation and marginalisation.

If you need help please contact Lifewise. This can be done confidentially by email or phone.

Lifewise is a registered charity under the name The Lifewise Trust, registration number CC40248
