Join the Lifewise Big Sleepout Rotorua!

Kia ora, fans of Lifewise. After the immense success of our Auckland Big Sleepout, it’s time to get started in Rotorua!

On 5th September 2019, community members and leaders will come together and sleep rough for one night to support our Rotorua community.

Join us at Rotorua’s Village Green Pukuatua Street Carpark Building on the night of Thursday 5th September for a chance to experience “sleeping rough” in the middle of winter – it is truly humbling and eye-opening experience.

Due to the latest weather updates we have had to shift our event to the Pukuatua Street Carpark Building. (Yes we do care about you getting drenched in bad weather!)

This unique event could give you team building opportunities and a chance to bring about genuine social change. Past participants say a highlight was the informal networking overnight with some of the most courageous Kiwis you will ever meet – be they politicians, leaders of industry, up and coming entrepreneurs and social enterprise visionaries or people who have themselves experienced and conquered homelessness.

By “sleeping rough” for one night, and enjoying a hangi together, you can help support our most vulnerable community members and stamp out homelessness for good.

We are already trailblazing and leading the way with Housing First Rotorua and our award-winning Mental Health and Addictions Services.

But we can do so much more with your help! You can be part of the solution in a bold way, by stepping out of your comfort zone and embracing the realisation that as Kiwis, we can all be just a couple of steps away from homelessness ourselves.

It doesn’t take much, but with a small step, this action by you could speak volumes. Spaces fill up fast, and it’s a life-changing event you won’t want to miss. Register today at www.bigsleepout.org.nz/rotorua
